中國國民黨總統參選人洪秀柱今天出關後全力拉票，關於照顧新住民措施，她說「蔡英文講的我們都在做」，並釋出政策利多，要讓中國大陸配偶四年拿身分證。
洪秀柱經過多天閉關，今天上午出關除發表八○○○字的「反省與承擔」文章，下午立即展開出關後的首場選舉行程，出席新住民後援會成立大會，全力為自己及國民黨立委參選人拉票。她進場時，受到熱烈歡迎，短短幾十公尺的路走了十分鐘，「挺柱」聲不斷。
她今天發表新住民政策，一開始就強調，這二天聽到民進黨主席蔡英文說未來要擴大照顧新住民，包括採認母國學歷等等，但事實上「她（蔡英文）講的其實我們都在做了」。
洪秀柱強調，若當選總統，她一定是最照顧新住民的總統，今天並提出四點政策，包括擴大「新移民家庭服務中心」預算和服務、經過職業訓練直接媒合，減少雇主對學歷認證或身分上疑慮、擴大新移民就業層面，將新移民及新台灣之子作為拓展東協貿易種子，協助台商進行對外事務聯繫，最後則是把陸配取得身分證的年限從六年改成四年。
